So ... the cat's out of the bag over on Failheap ... and Rote Kapelle are in full on damage control-lying-smear-coverup mode.
But I'm here to spread a little truth about the RvB-Rote Kapelle and Pandemic Legion-Rote Kapelle matches. I'll try to make this succinct.
The team captain for Rote Kapelle is Apathetic Brent. During the RvB-RK match he flew out of bounds in a Huginn and CCP Sreegs destroyed him.
What Brent wants everyone to think is that he was dual boxing with Apathetic Brent and xoXFatCatXox.
What actually happened was that Brent was flying xoXFatCatXox and Bacchanalian was (in violation of the EULA-ToS account sharing rule) logged into Apathetic Brent's account flying in the tournament as Apathetic Brent.
Then during the PL-RK match Ben Booley and his alt aUTOKILL were both in the match. But Ben's alt was being flown by Dradius Calvantia (also in violation of the EULA-ToS account sharing rule) because Dradius doesn't meet the "time in alliance requirement" to fly in the tournament for Rote Kapelle.
Considering last years debacle and the spirit of the rules I warned Brent and Booley after the RvB match and before the PL match to not circumvent the rules again.
They did it anyway.
This should be fairly easy for CCP to check as all of the people's ISPs are fairly far apart and quite different.
Now rules are rules and they violated them. Then they didn't like the fact that I disagreed with violating those rules, so I left Rote Kapelle rather than fly with people who condone cheating and lying.
I was going to let this go. Just say nothing and no one would be the wiser. Then, today, I was Cc'd some stuff going on over at Failheap. Apparently Booley and Brent had made several false postings about dual boxing in the match ... knowing full well that they were lying.
That was the final straw and I registered over there and made a few posts. Now ... lol ... you can watch the lies come out as people like Bacch and Namamai smear me in an attempt to lie their way out of it.
You know, in the end, it's not so much the account sharing that bothers me. It's that people I played Eve with are ready, at the drop of a hat, to cheat, lie, and smear others to cover it up.
It's also about violating the spirit of what AT should be, a competition played fairly and honestly. Considering what happened last year, and CCPs response to it this year I'd think CCP would take a dim view on any form of violations where the AT is concerned.
I've actually reported the violations to CCP Sreegs. No reply as of this posting.
Claire
TL;DR
RK Cheated in ATX and lied about it to cover it up. |

The proof is on the servers, I don't have access to that, but CCP does.
As far as emailing CCP, I have. No response and tomorrow ATX starts back up. The information needed put out so someone would see it.

Katalci wrote:The title made it sound bad, but if it's just account sharing to get past some regulations not really meant for these situations, then v0v.
If this makes RK not fight tomorrow I will be very spacemad, because I want to see those matches :o
From the EULA:
Section 2-A. You may not share your Account with anyone, or allow anyone other than you personally (or your minor child, if you have registered an Account on behalf of your minor child) to access or use your Account. Joint or shared ownership or use of an Account by more than one user is prohibited.
Section 2-B. B. You will be asked to select a password during the registration process ("Password"). You may not disclose your Password to anyone or allow anyone to use your Password to access the System or play EVE. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Password and for any damage, harm, lost or deleted characters, etc. resulting from your disclosure, or allowing the disclosure, of any Password, or from use by any person of your Password. You may not obtain, attempt to obtain, use or attempt to use the password of anyone else. You are responsible for remembering your Account information and Password.
And what little regulations would you be talking about getting past? The time in alliance restriction rule for ATX?

Namamai wrote:Smearing you? Please. I'll copy/paste here the exact same thing I said in Failheap: Quote:Claire donated a non-trivial amount of money to our ATX warchest, and he was under the impression that this gave him the right to tell our tourney captains how to run their matches and who should be flying. (Hint: If you're not showing up to practices, you're not flying. Don't give a **** how many billions of isk you've got.)
He left Stimulus of his own volition, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. I made the personal call to return his isk donation, as a sign of no hard feelings. Now he's gotta make me feel bad about being nice.
This is news to me; I was in the match, and I heard Booley on TS. Brent's at work, so I'll make poast: as co-captain, I stand by our pilots and by our performance in our matches. All characters fielded in every match were Rote pilots, using ships purchased with Rote isk. (I should know, as I've been handling the Jita purchases and hauling for Rote!) All characters on field met the AT requirements for time spent in the alliance. To the best of my knowledge, we have complied with ATX rules. Claire was a great pilot, and was mostly a pleasant person during his time in Rote. Sadly, AT apparently does strange things to people -- it seems to turn normal people into complete sperglords. (Really, the funniest part of the thread on Rote forums was the demand that we had to give our flagship to you if it survived.) Here's the only "smear" I'll post on you, Claire -- this whole thing is proof that a trillion-isk wallet balance can't compensate for a bitter personality. I hope you find an alliance that is more accommodating to your whims.
I love how you leave things out Namamai.
If you'll recall I said that I wanted the Flag Ship back, if it survived, to auction off for CCP's charity. It's all in the details mate, all in the details.
You know full well that the ATX rule allowing Dradius to fly was circumvented by allowing him to log into Booley's alt aUTOKILL. To say otherwise is a lie.
Bitter? Maybe, when people like you post complete fabrications and half truths, deliberately leaving out the WHOLE truth.

The only true way to determine who is telling the truth is for CCP to look at who logged into which accounts, from which ISPs.

Alekto Descendant wrote:Sooooo this dude was dual boxing and still beat us? mad props.
Also no one cares at all if some dude was flying some other dudes account.
You left your alliance over this? Seriously, that's pretty messed up.
My point is that no one was dual boxing. That's what they claim happened. The truth is they let Dradius, who wasn't eligible to fly in ATX, use one of Booley's alts to circumvent the rules.
If you and Pandemic Legion don't care that's cool. I, on the other hand dislike cheating. Not only did they game the system after being warned not to, but they violated the spirit of the ATX rules.
And yes, I left my alliance over it. I don't wish to be associated with an alliance or it's pilots that I consider as cheating in ATX. |

Lexa Hellfury wrote:So do you expect CCP to retroactively ban/DQ the last 4 winners of the alliance tournament? Because I know for a fact that Hydra and PL both have account shared their way to victory. Account sharing in the AT is a time honoured tradition. Hell, the year Gobbins got banned from the tourney for flying around Jove space he finished the tourney flying on one of Garmon's accounts. CCP are suddenly gonna start selectively banning teams that have bitter ex-members outing them? The only difference between this and other teams doing the same thing is someone is crying about it.
Says another bitter ex-Rote Kapelle guy who left over drama.

[quote=Namamai
Fake Edit:
If you've been in Rote in the last six months, you'll will know that Ben Booley lives about 20 minutes' drive away from me. Suppose I pick up my laptop and drive to his house, and play on his network connection -- it's far more reliable than the tin cans and string that pass for DSL in my neighborhood. SNAP, THE IPS ARE THE SAME, BEN AND NAM ARE TOTES ACCOUNT SHARING. Oh noes, Imma get banned and will have to sadly give up internet spaceships and go play Hello Kitty Island Adventure instead.
Fake Edit Two:
Imagine that I now tie strings to Booley and play on his account, using him like a marionette. Does that count as account sharing? (He's into light bondage, so he'd probably enjoy it.) [/quote]
Good point Nam. I guess it's a good thing for me that Bacch and Brent, and Booley and Dradius live hundred of miles apart from each other. I wonder how someone sitting in one state can be logged into his own account while his alt is logged into an account in another state several hundred miles away? |

RK have given great matches, every one has enjoyed them, that's what the CCP tourney team mainly cares about, I will be extremely surprised if anything comes from this, and that's saying something given how biased I am due to recentish events
Apparently you didn't read the whole post where I explained that part.

Valoche Mrehl wrote:+1 Claire, but it's pointless
Cheating is allowed in the ATX. CCP doesn't care unless you get egg on their face.
Python injecting. Collusion. Account sharing. Sure, the logs show nothing, but we all know. It's only confirmed when ppl like Monkey post logs of their hacking (for PL), we see replays of Hydra/Outbreaks final or we hear about this (which I'm sure is a VERY rampant problem. should just be Standard Operating Procedure to do an IP check on anyone competing and check for inconsistancies)
But it's a pipe dream. EVE is full of liars, cheats and thieves. CCP wants that. They advertise it and wonder why the game has people willing to break the rules CCP establishes to get ahead.
CCP will just ignore it. They wont recognize it. They will sweep it under the rug unless the outcry is overwhelming (ala T20, greed is good etc). It is really sad that CCP wont just enforce their rules and impose strict penalties to all who benefit.
This means probably closing eVoke for their moon-goo scam (banning 2-3 people is lol worthy. That's no penalty when huge alliances were built from broken pos') Probably snagging a lot of assets from old BoB members. Removing trophies, ships and the isk profit from PL. Removing trophies, ships and the isk profits from hydra/outbreak. Perm-banning anyone who accountshares etc.
Make it so painful for anyone who even knows a cheater that players start enforcing themselves. As it stands the risks are minor and the gains astronomical. Not like banning a few bitter vets or taking 10tril out of the economy is going to hurt your average player. More likely people will believe the rules matter, the deck isn't stacked and that they too should play EVE.
Thanks for the +1.
This isn't really about anything except setting the record straight. People (including CCP) can either check it out and believe me or not.
It's just funny when people like Namamai try to smear a good name by posting half truths and outright lies, in an attempt to make me look bad.
The funniest one is about me demanding the flagship back.
Of course what Nam refused to write is that Apathetic Brent asked me to specifically fund the flagship. I told him sure, on two conditions. 1. He didn't lose it in some drunken solo roam. and 2. I get it back, if it lives through ATX, so I could auction it off for CCP's charity. Everyone thought that was a good idea ... Nam doesn't mention that part either, just that I "demanded" it back.
So ... anyway ... Rote Kapelle cheated a little, they lied a little, they smeared a little. No skin off my back. I just want the truth out there to set the record straight. |

Granted:
To the members of Rote Kapelle;
Last night I dropped roles and will be leaving Stimulus/Rote Kapelle in approximately 12 hours.-á A fundamental difference in opinion has led to this and I want all of you to know that I did not arrive at this decision lightly.-á
It's probably been very apparent to all that I've been more than a little agitated over this last week.-á I apologize for that, but I really am bothered by the events as they unfolded, vis-a-vis the ATX Tournament and our team's conduct.-á
I consider what happened in both the RK-RvB match and the RK-PL match (account sharing -- Brent-Bacc, and Booley-Dradius) to be cheating.-á Especially so in the PL match in order to get Dradius around the 'time-in-alliance' restriction that CCP has set forth in the ATX rules.-á Not only is it against the EULA/ToS, but it was against both the letter and the spirit of the ATX rules.
Brent and Booley were warned after I found out that Bacc shared Brent's account during the RvB match not to break the rules in this manner again.-á Unfortunately they decided to ignore that warning and do it again in the PL match.-á
To be honest, I'm not as disappointed in Brent (who wants to win at all costs,) Booley (who doesn't give a d**n about anyone but Booley,) and Dradius (who, while having been a huge help in practice, just wants to fly in the tournament,) as I am with Ripard.-á After reading the majority of his blog I had come to think of him as a principled and ethical person.-á If anyone on the tournament team should have put his foot down and stopped this it should have been him.-á Apparently I was mistaken in my impression of Ripard.
Some of you may or may not agree with my stance or reasoning on the issues.-á That's fine, we're all entitled to our own opinions.-á I just wanted all of you to understand that this isn't some false sense of epeen-pixel-honor.-á Rather it's a part of who I am in real life GǪ I don't cheat, and I won't associate with people that participate in, or condone cheating.-á It's just who I am GǪ how I was brought up.
I'm down to three clones and three ships in TXW, so don't worry about trying to bubble my carrier or freighter in.-á Everything else was dumped into Brent's hangar so I wouldn't have to haul it all back out.-á He should have plenty of ships to lose on his live-streaming, beer-fueled, solo roams.
Finally, at the posting of this thread someone in control of the forum can go ahead and revoke my access, as I won't be looking back over my shoulder to read the comments.-á I've made my decision and I'm good with it.
